Aerosmith To Be Named 2020 'MusiCares Person of the Year'Weeks of drummer drama with Aerosmith appears to be at an end, as Joey Kramer returned to his drum riser Monday night.
Kramer had been sidelined since last April with what the band described as a "minor" injury. But he made headlines last month when he sued the band he co-founded 50 years ago for making him audition to get his old job back.
Aerosmith's 'Deuces Are Wild' residency in Las Vegas resumed Monday, and the band gave Kramer his moment, letting the drummer be first time take his position on stage after the curtain went up.
Steven Tyler announced, "On the drums, Mr. Joey Kramer," as the audience erupted in cheers.

Kramer was angry with Aerosmith's lack on confidence in him ahead of the band's MusiCares Person of the Year honors and its Grammys Lifetime Achievement Award. Aerosmith argued that Kramer simply waited too long to get back in the groove.
After a judge sided with the band, Kramer relented and showed up at both shows to take photos with his bandmates but did not perform.
Aerosmith did its part to keep the disagreement from getting too ugly, with the exception of having security prevent Kramer from entering rehearsal. The band noted that despite the lawsuit, Kramer is a "brother" to his fellow band mates and that the five musicians are "bonded together by much more than our time onstage."
The 'Deuces Are Wild' residency continues with select performances through June 4.
