Huntington's Press Club Plans Stand Up Comedy Nights on Thursdays

Huntington's best kept secret might be its hot stand up comedy scene. From the bi-weekly open mic at Black Sheep Burritos & Brews, to the occasional sold out showcase at The Huntington Ale House. What the city lacks in stage time it makes up for in killer shows and killer comedians.

Now Press Club on 4th avenue is joining the effort to bring live stand up comedy to the city with their go at a new open mic on alternating Thursdays. If you regularly attend stand up events in the city you will notice some familiar faces. Ian Nolte, Angie Davis, Josh McDonald, Nate Cesco, Rebecca Fitzgerald, Nathan Thomas and EVEN MORE notable favorites are taking to the stage now on Thursdays.

The pub/panini restaurant will offer a new environment for comedians, and a new menu for regular attendees of local comedy events.

The open mic is being lead by the crew that oversees other local comedy nights. All but ensuring the same quality comedy show on a new night. Giving comedians a chance to workout more material in front of a live audience, and a different crowd of people the chance to enjoy comedy.

The Press Club has become a recent hot spot for local events. Hosting Culture Storm, an arts vendor showcase, weekly concerts, weekly music open mics, and more. Stand up comedy will take place alternating Thursdays starting March 2nd. Becoming part of the regular line up of activities you can enjoy at the restaurant.

It's now possible to see comedy every week in the city.

The Press Club will be offering drink and menu specials during the show as well.

14 comedians already stack the lineup for a jam packed launch show on March 2nd at 8PM. You can see the event page here.
