HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) – Mosquito pools in Cabell County are testing positive for West Nile Fever and the La Crosse Virus.

The Cabell-Huntington Health Department is setting more traps to test mosquitoes for those diseases, Environmental Health Director Stan Mills said.

Mills says people should not be overly alarmed, as the majority of people bitten who contract the virus suffer no symptoms.

However, they’re advising people to take common sense steps to avoid being bitten.
