HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- An armed robbery happened late Tuesday night at the Marathon gas station in the 1500 block of Hal Greer Boulevard, Cabell County 911 dispatchers said.

It was reported just before 10:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Huntington Police and West Virginia State Police are at the scene.

Officers say an elderly man with a gun entered the business and demanded cash. The man was wearing a blue jacket and a gray mask at the time, a gas station employee told police.

They say he fled in the direction of a car wash. A K-9 unit was at the scene to try and pick up a scent trail.
